I had one of the most satisfying breakfast burritos of my life this morning. That’s what your writing reminds me of. The every day can be more nourishing than the glitz and that’s what makes it so rich. Or more simply but perfectly put: “On the surface, this card may seem beige. But upon closer examination, it’s a lot more like gold.”

Caroline, thank you so much. Just what I needed today as I am facing very challenging times. As you stated life can be so fucking hard and it's ok not to feel ok. I love your authenticity and all you do.

Thanks Caroline, this needs bottling into tiny 'Pep' tablets to take only one on those days when we need a reminder of why we are here.

You quoted my favorite book! Walking in This World. It’s little known yet much loved.

This may be my favorite thing you've written. There is so much glory in the ordinary, even as we're on our way to our dreams. A life well-lived means juicing it all. But I always need reminding and permission, both of which you do so well.

Ooof, Caroline! I needed this today: “Whether we’re speaking of moths or men, creatures are not consistent. Our output vacillates. Our energy shifts. Our optimism waxes and wanes. No one can kick ass all the time. The sooner we get this, the better off we’ll be.“ So so true (and resonates with the piece I published this morning as well). I’m excited too about the next offering of 1:1 readings - hope I make it this time!

Last night I was out to dinner with a group of friends who - very well intentioned - asked what writing projects I was working on right now. Just my little Substack! Continually assuaging the urge to feel embarrassed for doing what — pre-parenthood — I would have considered to be “the minimum” now that I have a toddler. Your writing is a balm. Thank you.
