I’m so happy for you, Caroline! Bravo for surviving those 4 years with that neighbor from hell 😭🫠 and I am SO glad you don’t have to deal with him anymore. I loved loved loved the part about your mother’s passport. It’s so funny, I was just writing about how much I missed my family’s cooking aka, I’m homesick. Home for me is food like pozole, mole, arroz con leche, and my mother’s fry bread dripping with honey.
I was a baby shark neighbor, and I apologise on behalf of all baby shark neighbors. We know not what we do. We're too sleep deprived to realise we're not the only ones being driven insane by the doo doo doos
We lived for a while in a house on Main Street, across from the fire station in a small VT town. Our upstairs neighbor was a noise-averse nurse—she worked nights a lot, and so we felt bad about the daily emails asking us to tread more softly. But then months passed. More months. “I can hear you opening the chips.” She wrote one day at 4pm. I felt like she was in the room with the me. I remember trying to chew those chips without a sound. But man a Lays does crunch. And then one day I realized—this woman was renting a house on Main Street. Across from the FIRE HOUSE. I felt less sorry after that given the many miles of quiet woods she might’ve chosen. But it’s big stress living with a sound-sensitive neighbor. Major quality of life issue.
Oh, this made me laugh. When someone is complaining about a wrapper, it pretty much proves the point that it's an insulation issue and not your reckless movement. We'd hear the neighbor, too, constantly — the theme song from Unsolved Mysteries, or the sound of his amorous activities. We once tried to point this out, to prove that the floor was the issue and we were really trying, and it did NOT go well. With a bit of distance, it's become funny, but it was deeply unfunny in the moment.
Oh no, my heart dropped to my stomach as I started reading, thinking that your new place was above a nightmare of a troll! You deserve a medal for enduring that guy.
Gnocchi's view looks lovely and how wonderful to have a welcoming neighbor door neighbor. Take time to settle in and I'm looking forward to any more pics that you share.
And, may I say that I found this truly beautiful "It sounds like life, unfolding.
So happy for you and the move. I cannot imagine dealing with that. We live behind a park and I love the hum of kids playing, sports happening, etc etc.
Forever LOVE your tarot pulls and explanations. This card meaning is so good. A reminder to just focus on this moment and remember the next will be here regardless. Enjoying the smaller in between moments.
Thank you for sending us this lovely and funny note despite the upheaval of moving your literal 'home' and all that entails. I wish you much peace and happiness there, which is at the end of the day, is what we really hope for anywhere we end up living during our life. Gnocchi's view alone looks amazing and the painting is also wonderful! I love to see animals staring out of windows. My cats sit for hours just 'looking out.' I so often wonder what they do 'they' think about, or even, do they see the same reality as us. Saying that....my husband can do the same sat on our naya for hours! The Chariot has been pushing me along too these last few weeks for some reason and the soles of my feet are quite itchy. 😉

Congratulations, Caroline, on the move, more light and the laughter next door. ☺️
Thank you so much, Jolene. ❤️

Hahaha, it’s quite alright. I never held it against the parents, just the composers of that song, who are evil geniuses.
😂

It looks like change, settling.
And it feels like home."
Congratulations on the move Caroline. May your new home be a source and scene of much love, laughter, and light.
Thank you so much, David.

Gnocchi’s spot looks so sweet! ☺️
Thank you, Meg. 😊
"I liked this idea of home. A check-in point. A landing. The constant that punctuated the story as it unfolded.
Home is one of those loaded words that we rattle off without thinking, that means everything and nothing, that changes depending on the context."
I mean, WOW. You've done it again, Caroline!!!
