I am so happy you are coming back for a 2nd year and very excited to read your conversations about people in the "other 1%," the people taking the road less travelled and braving the frontiers of change. I am, myself, about to do that very thing and leap away from the known into the unknown. You voice, your courage, your authenticity and above all your optimism is a light for me. Keep writing and showing us that we can all just give it a go, turn up, try. Thank you, Caroline.
Samantha, thank you so much for this lovely message. Your kind words mean more than I can express. I'm excited to hear about your leap into the unknown and hope you'll keep me posted as it unfolds. Thanks for reading, and for being here. I appreciate you!
Congratulations! I keep a quote list and so many from this year are captioned 'Caroline's newsletter.' At about 2pm on Sundays I start checking my email because your newsletter always brightens my day. Thank you for sharing your words, for being brave enough to push send the first time. Your email about running came in right as I embarked on half marathon training and through your courage I started my own blog. Though there have been SO many doubts along the way sometimes I think 'if Caroline can do it, you can too.' Thank you, your honesty and words are making a difference!
I love your idea for an expansion, it sounds like something I’d enjoy reading. Congrats on reaching the one year mark. We’re all richer because you tried!
"you are part of a narrative of your own choosing. The only person who has followed your particular path. The only one who has had your collection of experiences."
Yeppppp!!!
Congratulations on a full year of writing as your authentic self. It's a biggie to 'be' who we REALLY are, even moreso under the public gaze.
Caroline, your words gave moved me, helped me through (because there is no going around) and generally caused me to pause, reflect and even lifted me up.
Rusty! Thank you so much for your words and for being such a vibrant and wonderful member of this community this past year. I always love your comments — how you share your own experiences and vulnerabilities, and how you provide such lovely feedback and encouragement to me and others here! You are very much appreciated. ❤️
Congratulations on your 1st anniversary! I love your writing and look forward to your emails each week, as they always seem to speak to my soul. Thank you for your words
Love your writing. And you've got me so interested in Tarot, that I'm in the process of learning all about it. I've started with Rachel Pollack's book.
Congrats on hitting one year! Wow. Your letters are always thought provoking and inspiring, and always on the nose with putting into words the very things I've felt myself (but lacked the articulation to express them). This week's is no exception! Thank you for sending them out every Sunday; your words are very much appreciated.
I've been a reader since Day One, first time commenting. You are an incredible writer and human and I have loved every single letter you sent. I have been so inspired by you that I actually started my own newsletter... sharing the vulnerability was what pushed me to do it, because I have always been one of those tough, strong people who make "it" look easy... but in my meditation and self-work practice, I realized that what I needed was the opposite - softness, comfort, support.
I recently came across the work of a woman named Lacy Phillips whose project is www.tobemagnetic.com and she speaks often about the importance of finding your "expanders." These are people who are roughly on a path you aspire to and don't seem outer-worldly to you. They are the people who maybe trigger your envy a little bit... because they seem a little too much like you and living what feels like your dream. She says that you must seek out those people in your life because they are your guides - showing you not only that "IT" is possible but also possibly illuminating very specific steps around how to go about achieving "IT" yourself.
Thank you again for writing and for being my expander. <3
Petya, thank you so much — for this comment, your kind words, and for being a reader since day one! I am so touched and happy to hear that you've followed along all this time, and I am honored to be your expander. And I love your newsletter! It's thoughtful and relevant, and I especially loved getting a glimpse of you on the about page. Almost like we've met in person. :) Very excited to see where it will go.
Congratulations! You're my ray of sunshine on Monday mornings. No need to envy others, you're doing just great in sharing your world through your newsletter. You possess the beautiful art of putting thoughts on paper and sharing it and by doing so you're making the world a better place. I admire your bravery and your authenticity. Being your true beautiful Self is enough. Rejoice in your accomplishments and keep on sharing! Thank you!!!
Thank you, Yvonne! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your kind words. Your comments are always so warm and thoughtful and I'm very grateful that you're here. Thanks so much for reading, and for sharing! You're the best.
Congratulations on this first year and THANK YOU so much for speaking your mind and sharing your thoughts. Your words are precious and reading you every week has been one of my favorite rituals this year. Cheers and love from Bretagne, France!
Congratulations on this. I usually read your newsletter after yoga and before work. I love your writing: grounded, open, vulnerable and nevertheless full of strengh. Thank you.
Thank you for brightening my Monday mornings for the past year! It is the willingness to be vulnerable and the fact that you bring your true/ unique point of view (like your love for the tarot) that keeps me looking forward to your Sunday letters.
I sometimes struggle with showing people what I am interested in (because they might find it weird or laugh at me...), so I appreciate your example!
