I love the singing kid! I am very familiar with only knowing three lines to a song. Here's to singing them anyway.

Agreed! Me too. And also to just making up the lyrics (a favorite pastime).

This reminds me of the second part of the famous Bell ‘door’ quote that always gets left off. Which is very on-brand for our country to skip the layered depth as I think it’s the most important part: “But we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.”

I’ve had to bring out mean old school marm lately with, “Don’t you dare put on those rose colored glasses!” when the present feels as hard and uncomfortable(because it’s unknown) as the past that was worse, but somehow we forget the push behind the growth. Just got this essential oil blend called ‘Mixed Feelings’ for finding beauty in uncertainty. It’s been my daily reminder.

AND you! I feel like with each week, your connection to the collective conscious grows. Have you noticed with this weekly practice of writing with the card pull, you’ve felt more in flow tapping into universal themes?

Well, first off, thank you for thinking I'm tapped into the collective conscious! It's odd to feel more connected coming off a stretch of more-solitary-than-usual years, but that's how it works sometimes, I guess.

I've always organically found that if I write authentically about something I'm feeling, others say they have or are experiencing something similar. And yes, incorporating tarot archetypes definitely helps the process of tapping into those themes. I've found both writing and tarot, as separate practices, to be useful for uncovering what I think, but writing ABOUT tarot has been more helpful than I could've guessed! Definitely recommended.

And I agree with you on the Bell quote. The second part is everything! It's sort of like how those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it. One needs to know what not to do in order to maximize the subtle gift of a closed door. Either way, though, I'm thankful you reminded me of that quote!

Sunday evening is the perfect timing to hear from you. I can't add anything to previous comments, other than "what they said". When I look in my side view mirror "Objects are not as idyllic as they appear" will come to mind ; )

Thank you, Caroline. I‘m so glad I subscribed to your newsletter, after I was initially hesitant whether one more email would really be a good idea, and whether I‘d even read it. But I‘ve been reading most of your newsletters, and especially this one resonated with me. It felt like such a comfort, and I‘ll keep thinking about these ideas.

Thank you, Katrin, for subscribing and for still being here. I hear you, my inbox is a recurring nightmare and I'm always hesitant to add to it — it means a lot to be invited into that space on a regular basis. So glad to hear this one resonated.

This has resonated with me so much: seeing the mystery in the uncertainty, the possibilities and the romance of it. I’ve never been able to look at it that way, so thank you!
