Caroline, thank you for sharing! I can relate to everything you wrote. There is nothing wrong with tears .I remember when my father passed away and one of my half-sister told me to stop crying and to get a hold of myself and when my brother passed away and I was told that my crying was affecting other people and that I should stop crying. What audacity! I was so angry and will not repeat what I told them. People who are not in touch with their own feelings and live in denial don't have the right to tell others how they should feel and behave. I welcome tears, anger and there's no BAD emotions. I DO ME!
Good for you, Yvonne! That is a very evolved approach. As you say, there is nothing wrong with feeling... all feelings. (And it's no one's place to try to take that away.)
You are my favorite writer. Thank you for your inspiring and beautiful words each week.
Thank you so much, Sarah. That means more than you know.
As someone with high-performing tear ducts of my own, I relate to this whole-heartedly. 🥹
I… feel this! <3
❤️
