THE BLOCK IS REAL. Thank you for sharing this. I’ve felt blocked in my “creative” career and blocked in how to access more authentic creativity outside of it. Your words always resonate and inspire.

Also, (5) other fun animal groupings: a crash of rhinos, a dazzle of zebras, a cauldron of bats, a flamboyance of flamingos, a conspiracy of lemurs.

For some reason, learning these names of animal groupings is making me irrationally (complimentary) happy. Like tears in the corners of my eyes sort of happy.

Whoever came up with them was certainly feeling creative!

You are not a chaotic nightmare! Also, Richard Scarry is the best ☺️

Thank you! I recently saw a Richard Scarry Busytown print tote bag and talked myself out of it. (Don’t need another tote, etc.) But it was excellent!

Seems like the perfect card for you this week!

I love what you write here and it makes a difference to me. And who’s to say that telling yourself stories about the people you’re seeing on the street isn’t going to spark something for you???

Thank you, Kris! It’s always uncanny how the cards (usually chosen well after I’ve landed on a topic for the week) align with whatever I’m writing about and experiencing. And with what others report they’re experiencing!

Oh boy. Homework that never ends is writing a weekly post plus writing a novel. I've never had that feeling before. The writing is on the page and in my head so really it's always there. Caroline, I related to this post very much.

So so real. That five of wands seems to speak to the writer's block experience too, right? It definitely did for me—all of this felt so resonant this week. Thank you as always for all you share! Your block produced something beautiful. 🤍

To clear a path. To do our best. Those are words I can live by. Thank you as always for your words. They are so much more succinct than any Morning Pages I have ever written.
