Thanks for checking in. Always a source of joy to see your newsletter in my in box. Here in LA...been a bit overwhelmed, to say the least. As a native Angeleno whose childhood neighborhood in the Palisades has been decimated, my heart breaks for all my friends who lost their homes, their community...and for me, the loss of memories. I know memories are intangible...but places and structures remind us of loved ones who have passed and keep us connected in a way that our minds cannot.

My very first childhood home was in the Palisades. We didnt come from wealth. My parents worked hard and hustled after arriving in this country with student visas and $200 in their pockets. They built that home as they embarked upon their American Dream. They have since passed. And now so has the house...

The outpouring of support in our community has been inspiring. The vitriol from certain sectors of society outside of LA has been infuriating. I've felt so helpless, I've just been donating and volunteering as much as I can. We are resilient and we will rebuild. Thank you again for the words of support.

I am so sorry for the loss of your childhood home. Places (homes and cities) are living, breathing characters in the stories of our lives, and I ache for you and everyone who has lost these sources of connection to their pasts. The homes, of course, and also the beloved businesses where communities and memories were made. I know the "hopes and prayers" from afar is cold comfort faced with the reality unfolding around you, but there are so many (me included) holding you in our thoughts and sending you love and strength. Thank you so much for sharing.

Wishing you well, Caroline. Los Angeles is my home and heart. To see it being destroyed is awful. For it to be maligned so harshly during this historic disaster, I'm ready to throw hands. There was no failure. You cannot predict wildfire, FFS. It's not like it booked a room. There was no scheduled playdate. We knew the winds would be bad, and fire was a strong possibility since the only rain we had last year was the equivalent of spittle (after the previous year's atmospheric rivers and flooding), but even the firefighters were saying, "Fire usually burns *up* the mountains. This fire burned down." Nothing was normal. We were prepared, but you can only prepare for so much. The system didn't fail; it was vastly overwhelmed. And Karen Bass gets to travel!!! Gah! So, in retaliation to the negativity and disinformation we've received, California will be keeping all of our avocados. Haters can enjoy their tariff guacamole. We will also be offering up the Kardashians to whoever wants them. Same for Mel Gibson, James Woods and Sarah Michelle Gellar. But the avocados stay here.❤️ xo

I missed this post, but in all serious, do you have a waiting list for Tarot readings? I would love to schedule one, but realized I waited too long

I don't currently have a waiting list (perhaps I should make one...), but I'd be very happy to give you a heads-up the next time I'm posting appointments. Planning to offer a few every month for the foreseeable future!

Sending gobs of healing to you and grateful for the healing nature of your words, compassion, and sharing the resources and places to donate. It is both devastating and uplifting at the same time here in LA - reading the words of others here and those who are sending love, donations, and well wishes is a much-needed balm for our hurting hearts. THANK YOU. xo

Sending healing energy your way! I’d be interested in a reading down the road a bit. I’m at a crossroads right now with several things and trying to allow for my intuition to lead the way.
